Avalon was probably the most played game until we started playing Secret Hitler. For the most part, people enjoy Secret Hitler just as much as Avalon if not more. To me, each game has it's charm. Right now, I enjoy Secret Hitler's mechanics a bit more. I think it's the fact that there's different ways to lie/gamble in Secret Hitler compared toSecret Hitler is a solid social deduction game, but of course the theme is the kicker. Set in 1933’s Germany, the fascists are trying to seize political power. It’s up to the liberals to stop them. If you want to make your friends out for Nazi, Fascist or Hitler, then this is the game for you.

The best way - pretty much like all board games I’d say, is to explore the game with a friend, ideally at roughly the same level; it is super importantly to be at the same level or it’s really not much fun. failing that you could get on chess.com, do the free puzzles, learn an opening and a defense, play a bunch of 10 minute games and see
The reason Secret Hitler is great is specifically because it does a good job of giving people who aren't typically social deduction fanboys something to work from. But of course there is no policy track in werewolf, and experienced werewolf players still often find a wolf on Day 1.
