Think even darker and more brooding than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (another fine Warner Bros. 4K UHD Blu-ray release reviewed here by the way). Watchmen is set in an alternate history in the calendar year 1985 at the height of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union.
To paraphrase what I said in that subreddit, Zack Snyder has redone the color grading compared to the original 4K release of the film, but this new version will give us the 1.43 framing for all IMAX shot scenes. I also think this will also be the first time a 4K disc of an IMAX film preserves the full 1.43 frame instead of cropping it to 16:9
